In a significant development in the crackdown against organised criminal networks, the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Punjab Police, in collaboration with Central Agencies, apprehended three operatives linked to foreign-based gangster Goldy Brar. The arrests, made in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, are related to the high-profile Chandigarh firing case that occurred on January 19, 2024. The detainees, Amritpal Singh alias Gujjar, Kamalpreet Singh, and Prem Singh, have a history of criminal activities, including attempted murder, extortion, and robbery, with cases registered against them in Punjab.
Swift Action by AGTF and Collaboration with Central Agencies
The AGTF, acting swiftly in coordination with Chandigarh Police and Central Agencies, successfully apprehended the three operatives associated with the notorious gangster Goldy Brar. Fleeing Accused Tracked from Bihar to Uttar Pradesh
Following the firing incident in Chandigarh, the accused fled to Bihar to evade law enforcement. The investigative efforts of the AGTF and other agencies tracked their movements from Bihar to Uttar Pradesh. The arrest operation was executed at Gorakhpur Railway Station with the support of Gorakhpur Police.
