In Khuzdar, Balochistan, residents rallied against the enforced disappearance of Hafiz Tayyab and other missing individuals, demanding action and the safe recovery of all missing persons. Led by the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) and relatives of the missing, protesters marched through the city’s main streets, expressing opposition to enforced disappearances and urging for the safe return of their loved ones.
Hafiz Tayyab, reportedly taken by Pakistani security forces in 2013, sparked the protest. His family emphasized the importance of due process and demanded that Tayyab be produced before court if credible evidence exists against him. During the rally, BYC leaders voiced concerns that previous appeals to authorities in Islamabad for the safe return of missing people had gone unheard.
Additionally, the South Korean chapter of the Baloch National Movement (BNM) staged a protest in Busan, calling for an end to what they described as “state-sponsored” oppression against the Baloch people. Speakers at the rally highlighted the enduring fight of the Baloch people against Pakistani occupation and condemned the alleged genocide perpetrated by Pakistani forces. Residents of South Korea expressed solidarity with the Baloch cause, emphasizing the need for international recognition of the Baloch people’s suffering.
