Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a significant visit to Pithoragarh district, Uttarakhand. The visit will encompass a blend of religious engagements and the inauguration of various development projects aimed at propelling the state’s growth.
Spiritual Connect in Pithoragarh
PM Modi will commence his visit with religious ceremonies at Parvati Kund, where he will seek blessings from the holy Adi-Kailash, renowned for its spiritual significance and natural beauty. This marks a deep connection with the spiritual ethos of Uttarakhand.
The Prime Minister’s itinerary includes an interaction with the local population and security forces in Gunji village, providing him with a chance to connect with the people and explore the region’s art and products. PM Modi will also meet with the dedicated personnel of the Army, Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), and the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), acknowledging their service to the nation.
Jageshwar Dham’s Spiritual Legacy
Jageshwar Dham, a location perched at an altitude of approximately 6200 feet, is the next destination on the Prime Minister’s spiritual journey. Renowned for its stone temples, this visit symbolizes India’s rich spiritual heritage.
A significant highlight of the visit will occur in Pithoragarh, where PM Modi will inaugurate, dedicate to the nation, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects valued at around ₹4200 crore. These projects encompass diverse sectors such as rural development, roads, power, irrigation, drinking water, horticulture, education, health, and disaster management.
Strengthening Rural Infrastructure
Among the projects slated for inauguration are 76 rural roads and 25 bridges under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), emphasizing the government’s commitment to enhancing rural infrastructure. Additionally, 15 new buildings for Block Development Offices (BDO) in nine districts will be unveiled, bolstering the administrative framework.
PM Modi’s visit represents a harmonious blend of spiritual reverence and a firm commitment to the holistic development of Uttarakhand. It underscores the government’s dedication to the welfare of the people and the state’s rapid progress.
