Pakistan Suspends Trade Relations With India, Shuts Airspace and Shimla Pact
In order to mirror the India’s action, a high level meeting on national security committee was chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, attended by the civilian and military govt has decided to shut its airspace for Indian airlines, warned Indian nationals to leave the country within 48 hours, and suspended the Shimla Pact – a bilateral agreement.
This is being considered as a tit-for-tat move, to counter India’s action, Pakistan also did the same.
Pakistan says it’s their right to do as without any prior investigation, however entire world knows, from where Dawood Ibrahim stays, from where the Ajmal Qasab stays. No one is not aware, how the Osama Bin Laden was hinted by American forces inside Pakistan.
Pakistan even uses Afghanistan’ soil to spread the terrorism not only in India, even Iran has also warned of strong action.
The Pakistan’s high national security committe has threatened to suspended all the bilateral agreements with India including but not limited to Simla Agreement in abeyance, as Pakistan says India is accused of spreading terrorism inside the Pakistan.
Pakistan decides to reduce the staff at high commision, and suspended the visa issued under SAARC scheme.
Both the countries have decided that it’s air force and naval diplomats and their support staff at the respective High Commissions as Persona Non Grata.
Shimla pact of 1972, which validates the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, makes provision for the ceasefire line to be known as the Line of Control or LoC – which is where the armies of the two nations are stationed. Should Pakistan suspend the Simla Agreement, it will put a question on the validity of the Line of Control.
However, no response has been issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, but it’s simple, this move would not effect India in any way, but it could lead to escalation in the region.
