No congregational Eid prayers at Eidgah Srinagar: JK Waqaf Board
Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, announced on Wednesday that Eid prayers will not be held at Eidgah Srinagar this year due to the ground’s subpar condition. Speaking to the media in Rajbagh, Andrabi stated that it is not feasible to offer ‘Namaz E Eid’ at Eidgah Srinagar due to the poor condition of the ground. She added that efforts are underway to improve the ground’s condition, and Eid prayers will be held there in the near future.
Renovation Project Underway
Officials from the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board revealed that a renovation project for Eidgah Srinagar is in the works and is expected to commence soon. The project aims to address the poor condition of the ground and ensure that Eid prayers can be held there in the future.
