NIA Conducts Raids Across Jammu and Kashmir in Terror Conspiracy Case
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted extensive raids across various districts in Jammu and Kashmir. These operations were part of an investigation into the terror conspiracy orchestrated by offshoots of banned Pakistan-backed terrorist organizations, including Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al-Badr, and Al-Qaeda.
Targeted Locations and Seizures
The NIA targeted eight locations in the districts of Poonch, Shopian, Pulwama, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, and Srinagar. The focus was on the residential premises of hybrid terrorists and Overground Workers (OGWs) linked to newly-formed affiliates of the banned terror outfits. The searches resulted in the seizure of several digital devices containing a substantial amount of incriminating data and documents.
Investigation of New Terror Affiliates
The raids also extended to the premises of cadres and sympathizers of newly established organizations like The Resistance Front (TRF), United Liberation Front Jammu & Kashmir (ULFJ&K), Mujahideen Gazwat-ul-Hind (MGH), Jammu & Kashmir Freedom Fighters (JKFF), Kashmir Tigers, and PAAF. The NIA is investigating these groups’ involvement in destabilizing Jammu and Kashmir through terrorist attacks and activities.

The case (RC-05/2022/NIA/JMU) was registered by the NIA suo moto on June 21, 2022, to investigate the involvement of these outfits in various terror activities, including the use of sticky bombs, IEDs, narcotics, and arms distribution.
