NC Leader Hanifa Jan Challenges India Alliance in Ladakh LS Seat
The National Conference has diverged from the INDIA Alliance in Ladakh by nominating its own candidate, Hanifa Jan, for the Ladakh Lok Sabha seat, contrary to Congress’ choice. This move by NC, despite their alliance with Congress in J&K and Ladakh, risks splitting votes and potentially aiding the BJP in securing the critical seat.
Should this scenario unfold, the fate of their alliance hangs in the balance. Will Congress retract its support from the three parliamentary seats where it is backing NC’s candidates on behalf of the India Alliance? Or will they opt to remain passive observers?
The question arises whether NC’s decision to field its own candidate indirectly supports the BJP’s interests in Ladakh.
