Nature conservation is the need of hour: National Child Development Council
Srinagar, 16 Feb: National Child Development Council (NCDC) core committee members urged people to play vital role in conserving the nature, while they demanded that awareness programmes should be conducted in schools to make students aware about the importance of natural resources.
The members said that spreading awareness about the conservation of nature is always a necessary step, as nature plays a great role to keep us alive.
Global Goodwill Ambassador, & Master Trainer NCDC, Baba Alexander has said that nature has provided us numerous resources such as air, water, food, besides other resources to make us alive. All these resources of nature make our earth a place worth living.
“Regarding nature conservation, selfishness is all around, as modern education has made people selfish. We should realise that nature is spending lot of resources to make us alive, so we have to modify school syllabus, as it is mandatory to conserve these resources, while nature conservation skills should be inculcated among school children and voluntarism should be promoted,” Baba Alexander said.
Notably, National Child Development Council (NCDC) is an autonomous national child welfare organization, established to promote the welfare of women and children, besides ensuring education of children in India.
