Miscreant Arrested Under PSA for Sacrilegious Act in Kishtwar

In a decisive action against sacrilegious activities, the District Police of Kishtwar have booked Sher Mohammad under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA). Mohammad, son of Habib Hajam, is a resident of Lower Pochhal in Tehsil and District Kishtwar but originally hails from Nagnigarh Keshwan.
The police acted swiftly following multiple complaints about Mohammad’s involvement in sacrilegious acts. Under the supervision of Dy. SP Hqrs Kishtwar, the accused was promptly apprehended after the police received detailed information about his activities.
Further investigation revealed Mohammad’s involvement in several similar complaints, leading to the compilation of a dossier that was submitted to the District Magistrate (DM) of Kishtwar.
Subsequently, the PSA orders were obtained, and a special team, formed by SSP Kishtwar Abdul Qayoom, executed the arrest. Mohammad is now held in Kot Bhalwal Jail in District Jammu.
SSP Qayoom has issued a stern warning to those engaged in sacrilegious acts and bovine smuggling, emphasizing that the law will deal with offenders rigorously.
The District Police reaffirms its dedication to maintaining communal harmony and public safety, stating that any threats to peace and order will be met with strict legal action.
