Massive Peaceful Protest in Jammu Seeks Swift Statehood Restoration
A massive peaceful protest was held in Jammu on Monday, with demonstrators urging the central government to swiftly restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir. Organized under the banner of Yuva Rajput, the protest saw participants raising slogans against the government’s inaction on the issue.
Speaking to reporters, senior leaders of Yuva Rajput criticized what they described as a policy of delay and indifference toward statehood restoration. They questioned the government’s claim that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir is normal, arguing that if stability has returned, there should be no hesitation in reinstating statehood.

The leaders further stated that Jammu’s youth are determined to pressurize the central government into taking action. They warned that if a decision is not made soon, protests will escalate across the region. The Yuva Rajput chief emphasized that immediate restoration of statehood is essential, cautioning that failure to do so could trigger a larger agitation by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
