Massive Fire Engulfs Delhi Police Training School, Damages 450 Vehicles
In the early hours of Monday, a severe fire erupted at the Delhi Police Training School in Wazirabad, North Delhi, resulting in extensive damage to 450 vehicles stored in a yard. Eight fire tenders from the Department of Delhi Fire Services were deployed to the scene to control the blaze, which was reported at 12:16 am.
Extent of Damage and Firefighting Efforts
The fire, originating in the storage area of the police training school, consumed approximately 200 four-wheelers and 250 two-wheelers. Firefighting efforts began promptly, with additional fire tenders summoned from nearby stations as the blaze intensified. By 4:15 am, authorities successfully gained control over the fire, with eight vehicles actively participating in the operation.
Investigation and Uncertain Cause
The cause of the fire remains unclear, and local police authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the incident. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties in the massive fire that significantly impacted the Delhi Police Training School and its vehicle yard.
Assurance of No Casualties
Authorities from the Department of Delhi Fire Services provided assurance that there were no casualties resulting from the incident. Despite the substantial damage to the vehicles, the focus remains on investigating the cause and implementing measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
