LIC Shares Surge to New 52-Week High of ₹900
Shares of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) rose by 5.30% during intraday trading, reaching ₹900 apiece, marking a new 52-week high. This level has not been seen since its listing in May 2022. Despite facing downward pressure post-listing, the stock experienced a notable turnaround in November, with a gain of 12.83%, followed by a robust upward momentum in December, marking a rise of 22.52%. In the current month, the stock has shown a further increase of 7.51%. The company’s market capitalization surged to ₹5.62 lakh crore, reflecting a significant gain of ₹1.82 lakh crore from November until now.
