Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha took a step closer to the citizens of Jammu and Kashmir during “LG’s Mulaqaat” – Live Public Grievance Hearing program held at the Civil Secretariat.
In this unique initiative, the Lieutenant Governor interacted with the people, lending an attentive ear to their grievances, ensuring the public’s voice is heard and concerns addressed.As he engaged with the citizens, Lieutenant Governor Sinha emphasized the importance of upholding the values of integrity and impartiality while addressing each case and delivering services. He directed officials to maintain the highest standards of transparency and accountability, recognizing the citizens’ expectations of quality and speedy services from the administration.

The platform of “LG’s Mulaqaat” also serves as an opportunity for officers to strengthen their connection with the community, fostering a sense of trust and cooperation. The Lieutenant Governor’s commitment to efficient governance and enhanced public service delivery was evident as he addressed specific grievances.Responding to Guroo Muzamil’s complaint about the unauthorized increase in school fees and annual charges by a private school, the Lt Governor directed the Principal Secretary School Education to take strict action against such schools and closely monitor any future hikes in school fees.
In response to Sajad Ahmad Wani’s grievance concerning the availability of Ultrasound Scan facilities during night hours at District Hospital Ganderbal, the Lt Governor directed the Director of Health Kashmir to establish a monitoring team, ensuring healthcare services are available to patients 24/7. He also called for a rationalization of health manpower and reducing unnecessary referrals from District Hospitals while emphasizing the need for improvement in key nutrition parameters.
Addressing the grievance of Jyoti Devi from Udhampur regarding the grant of an inspection certificate for the release of subsidy amounts under PMEGP, Sinha instructed the concerned department to expedite the resolution of such cases.Furthermore, Deputy Commissioner Jammu received specific directives to personally address the grievance of Gourav Sharma, which concerned the functioning of solar lights in Kot Morha village, Jammu.
On the sidelines of the program, Lt Governor Sinha urged the District Commissioners to develop comprehensive plans to increase literacy rates and monitor school dropout ratios in their respective districts. He also emphasized the importance of replicating the best practices of the Anantnag district administration for grievance redressal quality monitoring.
As “LG’s Mulaqaat” fostered a stronger connection between the administration and the community, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha underscored his vision for improved governance, public services, and better cooperation between officers and the public.
