LG Manoj Sinha Affirms Resolve Against Terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir
Lt Governor Manoj Sinha expressed determination that a small group of 20-25 terrorists cannot intimidate the people of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the need for collective resilience against attempts to disrupt peace in the Union Territory.
During an event commemorating Veer Bal Diwas in Jammu, he asserted, “Terrorists cannot intimidate the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Society must unite against such elements. The nation is committed to bringing peace and prosperity to Jammu and Kashmir. It is time to stand united against these disruptive forces.”
Sinha highlighted the necessity of eliminating terrorism and its supporting network. He affirmed that the Union Territory is progressing under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The remarks from the Lieutenant Governor came in the wake of a terrorist attack on two Army vehicles in Poonch on December 21, resulting in the tragic loss of four soldiers’ lives.
Furthermore, in homage to the Sahibzades, the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji, on the occasion of Veer Baal Diwas, Sinha described them as exemplifying courage, valor, and sacrifice. He paid tribute to their unwavering commitment to faith and principles, honoring their legacy.
Last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi designated December 26 as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ during the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh. This day commemorates the sacrifices of the “Sahibzade,” signifying the resilience and valor exhibited by the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh.
