
LG Manoj Sinha Addresses Citizens Grievances and Emphasizes Coordination
Empowering Citizens through Virtual Grievance Hearing
In a bid to address the concerns of its citizens effectively, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha held a “LG’s Mulaqaat- Live Public Grievance Hearing” through virtual mode. The citizens who participated were selected based on their grievances submitted through the J&K Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System.
Proactive Approach to Resolving Public Grievances
During the interactive session, Lieutenant Governor Sinha promptly resolved several grievances, demonstrating his commitment to efficient governance. He used this platform to emphasize the need for government departments and district administrations to work cohesively, rather than in isolation, to resolve citizens’ grievances efficiently.
Building Trust and a Robust System for the Future
LG Manoj Sinha acknowledged the importance of accessible and high-quality public services for every citizen. He highlighted the remarkable 97 percent disposal rate on JKIGRAMS, which reflects an increased institutional trust among the people. He stressed that it is not enough to rest on current achievements but to work toward building a robust system for the future.

Resolving Specific Grievances for Better Governance.
During the virtual interaction, Lieutenant Governor Sinha addressed specific grievances from citizens:
- Ensuring Safe School Infrastructure: Responding to a complaint about a damaged Government Primary School building, the LG directed the School Education authorities to ensure no school operates in dilapidated conditions.
- Healthcare Staff Rationalization: To address the issue of inadequate health staff at a dispensary, he instructed the Director of Health Services to conduct a comprehensive assessment of staff needs in the region.
- Utilizing Government Assets: On the non-functional Filtration Plant issue, the LG directed the Deputy Commissioner to ensure government assets are used for the welfare of the people.
- Managing Sewage Overflow: In response to grievances about sewage overflow during rainfall, the LG directed relevant authorities to coordinate efforts to address the issue promptly.
Additionally, Lieutenant Governor Sinha reviewed the pendency status of old age and widow pension applications and other social welfare schemes in different districts.
In conclusion, LG Manoj Sinha, along with various government officials, reviewed the preparations for Gandhi Jayanti and upcoming events on 1st and 2nd October, ensuring the seamless execution of these events for the benefit of the citizens.
