Launch of Uber Shikara: Now Tourist Can Enjoy hassle free Travelling with Shikara Bookings on its Application
Now, the tourist will enjoy hassle free experience of travelling, as in jammu kashmir, the first water transport of Uber, called as “Uber Shikara” has launched launched, as of which, the tourists will now book the rides from the application in advance.
This step is being seen as a significant step to uplift tourism potential, with technology and tradition in mind-blowing landscape of kashmir.
In European countries, the uber provided such service to tourists, which now will run/operate in valley, and will be productive for the tourism. As off now, seven shikaras are stationed in Dal lake near Nehru Park.
Uber has stated, it won’t charge any type of fees to its shikara partners, and ensure that full fare goes to boat operators.
Wali Mohammad Bhat, who heads the Shikarawala Association, stated that now tourists will not need to bargain, and enjoy standardized pricing, will enjoy hassle free travel experience. He further added, that this initiative sounds well, for the shikara riders, boat operators due to benefits.
So all, has been coded into time saving, no bargaining, and standardized pricing, will leads to the tourism upliftment with Kashmir’s tradition and charm.
