The eco-parks have played a pivotal role in creating livelihood opportunities, as makeshift stalls set up at these locations have provided income opportunities for unemployed youth and families. Developed under government initiatives, including the Green India Mission and CAMPA, these parks offer diverse experiences such as nature walks, bird watching, and photography.
This year alone, a staggering 109,500 tourists experienced the allure of these parks.Beyond the eco-parks, Kamraj Forest Division has meticulously crafted seven trekking routes, such as Kalaroose—Z Gali, Kuligam—Zaban, Harwan—Hilltop Zaloora, Watlab—Rajpura—Triumkhan—Dever, Rampur—Marbal—Yemberzalwari—Harwan, and Affan—Kailwan. These routes have been designed with great care to preserve the natural beauty of the surroundings. In the current year, over 1,100 trekking enthusiasts embraced these routes.
Looking ahead, the Kamraj Forest Division has ambitious plans to expand the eco-tourism footprint by developing five additional parks at various locations. This strategic move aims to further enhance the region’s overall appeal and sustain the positive momentum in tourism growth.
