Kishtwar Police solve burglary case, recover stolen property worth Rs. 6 lakh
District Police Kishtwar makes significant progress in the investigation of a Hardware Store burglary, successfully recovering stolen property worth Rs. 6 lakh.
SSP Kishtwar, Shri Abdul Qayoom-JKPS, disclosed that a written complaint lodged by Vikar Ahmed led to the initiation of the investigation. An FIR was registered, and a special team, led by SHO PS Kishtwar Inspr Firdous Ahmed, was formed under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Dr. Ishan Gupta JKPS.
After scrutinizing CCTV footage and interrogating suspects, the team arrested the main accused, Rahul Singh. Subsequent interrogation led to the identification and arrest of other individuals involved in buying stolen goods.
Recovery of Stolen Property
The police, along with a magistrate, visited the locations provided by the arrested individuals and successfully recovered all stolen items, including electric motors, water tanks, geysers, and more. The recovery highlights the efficacy of Kishtwar Police’s CCTV surveillance unit and serves as a stern warning to potential burglars.
