On Saturday morning, the upper regions of the Kashmir Valley experienced a fresh bout of snowfall, while the lowlands received substantial rainfall, resulting in a notable decrease in maximum temperatures.

An official reported that the elevated areas of the Gurez Valley, including the Razdan Pass, encountered a new layer of snow, while the plains were drenched by heavy rains.

Continuous rain throughout the night, combined with the snowfall on Razdan Top and its environs, compelled the authorities to temporarily close the Bandipora-Gurez road.

Simultaneously, rainfall swept across other areas of the Kashmir Valley, leading to a significant drop in the maximum temperature.As a response to the snowfall and heavy rain in the region, authorities have also temporarily shut down traffic on Sinthan Top and Margan Roads.

The Meteorological Department in Kashmir has additionally predicted scattered instances of rain and snow in higher elevations for the night of Friday across various locations in Jammu and Kashmir.
