    Artificial Rain to Combat SmogContrary to Karachi’s predicament, Lahore, another prominent city in Pakistan, has taken a proactive stance against its persistent smog issue.

    Employing artificial rain as an unconventional strategy, Lahore has experienced a noteworthy decline in air pollution, reducing its particulate matter count to 197. This successful endeavor catapulted Lahore down to the sixth position in the global air pollution rankings.

    The Process Behind Artificial RainThe execution of artificial rain involved a meticulously planned operation. Specially equipped aircraft were deployed to disperse chemicals, complemented by the release of 48 flares above the clouds.

    This meticulously coordinated effort resulted in significant rainfall, proving to be a straightforward yet highly effective solution to combat escalating pollution levels.

    Other cities featured in the global pollution rankings include Dhaka, Bangladesh, securing the second position with an air quality index of 268, and Kolkata, India, standing at the fourth place with an index of 253.
