JP Nadda Accuses Congress of Scams in Chhattisgarh

Addressing a public meeting in Chhattisgarh, BJP national president JP Nadda accused the incumbent Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and the ruling Congress of corruption, warning that the state would see more scams if Baghel is re-elected.

    Charges of Multiple Scams

Nadda highlighted various allegations, including a “liquor scam,” “rice scam,” “coal scam,” and a “cow dung scam,” along with a scandal involving the Public Service Commission. He also referenced the Mahadev batting app scam, alleging that Baghel received Rs 508 crore from it for his election expenses.

Election Manifesto Promise and Opposition’s Accusations

The Congress unveiled its poll manifesto, which promises to conduct a caste census if elected. Nadda criticized the Congress and Baghel, saying they “guaranteed to be looted again” if they return to power.

BJP’s Commitment to Serving the Poor

Nadda emphasized the BJP’s commitment to serving the poor with dedication and responsibility, contrasting the BJP’s governance under Prime Minister Narendra Modi with the alleged corruption during the UPA government.

Benefits for Tribals and Poverty Alleviation

Nadda listed benefits for tribals in Chhattisgarh under the NDA government, such as increased budgets for tribal welfare, Eklavya schools, and scholarships. He also highlighted the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana, which provided essential food items to millions and lifted many above the poverty line.
