Addressing the passing-out parade of 510 new recruits of the Jammu and Kashmir Police in Baramulla district’s Sheeri area, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha emphasized the pressing challenges facing humanity today, specifically citing narcotics and psychological warfare as the most formidable threats. He urged the police force to effectively combat these dangers, underscoring the necessity of adopting a zero-tolerance policy against subversive elements within the Union Territory.

In his address, Sinha acknowledged the multifaceted challenges that confront the region and the world at large. He emphasized that narcotics and psychological warfare stand out as the most significant challenges to humanity in the present day. To counter these threats, he stressed the importance of vigilance and the formulation of a strategic approach by the security forces.
Sinha also highlighted the substantial progress made by Jammu and Kashmir in various aspects, including economic, social, and cultural, over the past three years. He expressed satisfaction in witnessing the people of the region lead their lives in accordance with their aspirations and expressed their confidence in achieving their dreams.
However, he noted the presence of disruptive elements with a vested interest in thwarting the progress of the people, especially the underprivileged, and underscored the need for a strict zero-tolerance stance against such forces.The Lieutenant Governor commended the Jammu and Kashmir Police for their resolute response to terrorists and adversaries of the nation. In addition, he paid tribute to the police personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation’s security.
