In a deeply unsettling incident, a suspected drug addict has tragically taken the lives of his mother and infant daughter using a sharp-edged weapon in the Bishnah area. This tragic event unfolded today, as reported by the local police.

Around 5 PM, Jagdev Singh, who also goes by the name Michael and is the son of Kura Ram from Morchapur, Bishnah, carried out a horrifying act. He mercilessly attacked his mother, Kamlo Devi, and his helpless 3-month-old daughter, who had not yet been given a name. This brutal assault was carried out using a sharp-edged weapon known as a “Kirch.” It’s worth noting that this horrifying incident occurred while his wife and other family members were absent from the home.

As soon as the authorities received the distressing information, a police team swiftly arrived at the scene of the crime. Their objective was to gather information pertaining to the incident and to document statements from the witnesses who may have been present during the tragedy.

In response to this shocking crime, the suspect, who is currently at large, has been officially charged under FIR number 245/2023. These charges have been filed under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to murder, and Section 4/25 of the Arms Act. These charges have been registered at the Bishnah Police Station.

Concurrently, the local law enforcement agencies have initiated the formation of special teams with the primary goal of tracking down and apprehending the accused individual responsible for this horrific act.
