
JK Government Extends Timeline for Recruitment Rule Notifications by One Year
In a significant administrative move, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir has announced a one-year extension for the notification of recruitment rules under Executive Orders by all Administrative Departments.
The order, officially titled Government Order No. 731–JK(GAD) of 2025, was issued by the General Administration Department (Monitoring Section) on 18th June 2025. It extends the timeline initially sanctioned under earlier orders titled as Govt Order No. 635-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 16-02-2024, and Govt Order No. 1998-JK(GAD) of 2024 dated 28-11-2024.

This extension provides Administrative Departments with additional time — up to one more year — to finalize and notify recruitment rules through Executive Orders.
