Jammu: Thief arrested by Janipur Police; stolen items recovered

JAMMU: (VoM) – On 13-02-2025 complainant namely Sushma Devi W/o Subash Singh Manhas appeared at Janipur Police station registered a written complaint regarding theft at their house.

In this regard case FIR No. 20/2025 U/S 331(3)/ 305 BNS registered at this Police Station and investigation of the Case entrusted to ASI Mohi Din.

Janipur Police acting swiftly and using human and technical intelligence arrested a person namely Ketan Singh S/o Gulab Singh R/o Dhok Paloura Jammu and recovered stolen items from his possession.

Now police has put this accused under sustained question to know regarding previous theft if any done by the accused. Other police stations of JKS Range has also been informed regarding this thief and they can also take their custody if he is wanted in any case of their jurisdiction.

With the rise in theft incidences in Jammu , sub division west is also conducting awareness programme with public to aware them to keep Chokidar in their Mohalla’s, and also not to keep any valuable like gold at home.

Both the SHO of Subdivision west Jammu have also increased night surveillance to grab miscreants and prevent these theft incidents.
