Jammu Srinagar NH-44 Update 25-01-2025: From 23-01-2025, 1700 hrs. to 24-01-2025, 1700 hrs., there was slow movement observed on NH-44 due to single lane traffic at Dalwas, Mehad, between Marog and Kishtwari Pather and due to four lane construction work.
Passengers/LMVs operators are advised to undertake journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW during day time as there is apprehension of shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.
Goods carrier (HMV/LMV) Operators carrying fresh perishable/live stock are advised to load their vehicle as per advisory issued by Traffic Police Headquarters time to time as there is single lane traffic and poor condition of road at Dalwas, Mehad and between Marog & Kishtwari Pather on Jammu Srinagar NHW .
HMVs Operators/Owners are requested to desist from overloading and carry sufficient fuel during journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW. It is further requested that vehicle owners must double check the fitness of their vehicles and carry sufficient fuel before undertaking journey on Jammu-Srinagar NHW.
HMVs with only 06 and 10 tyres shall be allowed to ply through Dhar road.
Commuters are advised to avoid unnecessary haltage between Ramban and Banihal especially near landslide/shooting stone area.
Jammu Srinagar NH-44 Update For 25-01-2025: Subject to fair weather and better road conditions LMVs Passenger/Private Cars/HMVs shall be allowed from both sides on Jammu-Srinagar NHW (NH-44) viz from Jammu towards Srinagar and vice-versa. TCU Jammu/Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban for road condition. Commuters are requested to check NH 44 status at J&K Traffic Police Twitter handle and face book page.
Kishtwar- Sinthan- Anantnag NH-244:-
Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is closed for vehicular movement as per Sub-Divisional Magistrate Kokernag’s advisory endstt. no. SDM/KNG/2024-25/3139-45 dated 16-01-2025 .

Tomorrow vehicular movement shall remain suspended on Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari road in view of advisory issued by PCR Kargil as there is road maintenance and snow clearance work shall be carried out by the concerned road maintenance agencies.
Mughal Road:-
Mughal Road is closed for vehicular movement as per District Magistrate Poonch’s order endstt. no. DMP/JC/7273-92 dated 18-01-2025 in view of snow accumulation.
Bhaderwah-Chamba road:-
Bhaderwah-Chamba road is still closed due to snow accumulation.
