Jammu Police Arrest 3 Drug Peddlers, Seize Heroin and Illegal Injections

In a continued crackdown on drug-related activities under Operation SANJEEVANI, Jammu Police have arrested three drug peddlers in two separate operations within the jurisdiction of Police Station Nowabad, Jammu.
These arrests have led to the recovery of a significant amount of contraband, further bolstering efforts to curb the drug menace in the region.
The first incident occurred during routine patrolling by the Police Party of Police Post Canal Road. The police spotted a suspicious individual at Javed Nagar, Nikki Tawi. Upon seeing the police, the suspect tried to flee, which only heightened the officers’ suspicions.
He was promptly intercepted and apprehended. The individual was identified as Manzoor Kazi, a resident of Kharian near SOS School Jammu. A search revealed that he was carrying 3.88 grams of a heroin-like substance.
Following the discovery, a case was registered against him under FIR No. 127/24 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Nowabad.
In a separate incident, a police party from Police Post Talab Tillo was patrolling Kabir Colony Chowk, Talab Tillo, when they signaled two individuals to stop for routine checking. Instead of complying, the duo attempted to flee but were quickly apprehended.
Upon searching their belongings, the police recovered 166 Diazepam 2 ml injections and 120 Promethazine Hydrochloride 2 ml injections. The suspects were identified as Aman Radha of Anand Nagar, Bohri Talab Tillo, and Rahul Bassan of Kabir Colony, Talab Tillo.
A case was registered against them under FIR No. 128/24 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Nowabad.
These arrests and the confiscation of illegal substances underscore the Jammu Police’s commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes and ensuring the safety of the community.
