Iran Sets Three Conditions to End War With United States and Israel

Iran Sets Three Conditions to End War With United States and Israel

Masoud Pezeshkian, the president of Iran, has outlined three key conditions that Tehran says must be met to end the ongoing conflict with the United States and Israel.

In a statement posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Pezeshkian said any resolution to the war must recognize Iran’s legitimate rights, include compensation for damages caused during the conflict, and provide firm international guarantees to prevent future attacks on the country.

Pezeshkian said he reiterated Iran’s stance during conversations with leaders of Russia and Pakistan, stressing that Tehran remained committed to peace in the region but would not accept a settlement that ignored its security concerns.

“The only way to end this war — ignited by the Zionist regime and the United States — is recognizing Iran’s legitimate rights, payment of reparations, and firm international guarantees against future aggression,” he wrote.

Iran Warns of Wider Conflict in Persian Gulf

Iran also issued a warning about possible escalation in the Persian Gulf if its infrastructure comes under attack. Abolfazl Shekarchi, spokesperson for Iran’s armed forces, said no port or economic center in the Gulf would be beyond Tehran’s reach if Iranian port facilities were targeted.

Speaking to state broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, Shekarchi warned that Iranian forces would launch a stronger military response if such attacks occurred. He also urged countries in the region to remove American military presence from their territories.

Meanwhile, Israeli officials have reportedly acknowledged in internal discussions that there is no certainty the war will lead to the collapse of Iran’s ruling establishment. According to reports citing officials in Israel, the conflict continues despite heavy strikes and the killing of senior Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

Missile attacks and airstrikes have struck multiple cities including Tehran, causing widespread destruction of homes and infrastructure. While the bombardment has intensified pressure on Iran, analysts say the country’s internal political situation remains uncertain as economic sanctions and the prolonged conflict continue to strain the nation.
