Intra College Volleyball Tournament 2024 Organized by GDC Kilhotran

The Department of Physical Education and Sports at Government Degree College (GDC), Kilhotran (Bhalessa), organized the Intra College Volleyball (Men) Tournament 2024 on May 23 under the supervision of Principal Dr. Javid Iqbal. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Reyaz Ahmed, HOD Arabic, who was the chief guest. He praised the sports committee and encouraged students to excel in sports.
Eight teams participated in the tournament. The first match saw Staff 11 Team defeat Royal GDCK Team with a set score of 2-1. In the second match, Shining GDCK beat Rising GDCK with a score of 2-0. Evergreen won the third match against Baba 11 with a set score of 2-0. In the fourth match, Spartan GDCK defeated Warrior GDCK, also with a 2-0 score.
In the semifinals, Spartan GDCK triumphed over Evergreen with a set score of 2-0 and then defeated Staff 11 with the same score. The final match saw Spartan GDCK emerge victorious over Shining GDCK with a set score of 2-0.
Outstanding players included Ajay Kumar as Best Smasher, Mohd Mudassir and Ajay Kumar as the most disciplined players, and Mr. Mehdi Hussan as the best player of Staff 11. The Staff 11 Team was led by Prof. Zain Batt (HOD Political Science).
The tournament was organized by Prof. Zakir Ali, HOD Physical Education & Sports. Prominent faculty members present included Prof. Mohd Aslam, Coordinator IQAC, Dr. Tasir Sharief Per, Dr. Mudasir Nazar, and Mr. Vickey Ratan. Prof. Zain Batt conducted the proceedings.
