The blow occurred while wicketkeeping in the second over of the third T20I against Australia. Forced to leave the field, Conway did not participate in the remainder of the match. New Zealand coach Gary Stead expressed disappointment at losing Conway’s skills for the ICC World Test Championship match, beginning on Thursday.

Devon Conway Ruled Out: Henry Nicholls Steps In as Replacement
To fill the void left by Conway, New Zealand has included fellow batter Henry Nicholls in the squad. Nicholls, with ample Test experience and versatility in the batting order, is set to join the team in Wellington on Wednesday. Coach Stead acknowledged Nicholls’ capabilities, stating, “It’s nice to have a player of Henry’s calibre to call on.”
