Indian Navy Conducts Swift Rescue Operation Against Pirates

In a rapid response to a distress call from a merchant vessel, Indian Navy Marine Commandos have initiated a major operation to rescue crew members aboard the MV Ruen from pirates, announced Indian Navy officials on Saturday. The operation was launched following reports of a significant number of pirates aboard the vessel.

Prompt Action in Response to Distress Call

Upon receiving information about the presence of pirates on board the MV Ruen, the Indian Navy swiftly launched a rescue operation to assist the crew members in distress. Marine Commandos established communication with the pirates and issued warnings for their surrender.

In the event of non-compliance by the pirates, the Indian Navy has authorized commandos to take necessary action to ensure the safety of the crew and the vessel.

Challenging Operation in Progress

The hijacked vessel, MV Ruen, reportedly has over 30 pirates on board, making the situation complex. Despite the challenging circumstances, the Indian Navy’s operation, conducted over 2,800 km from Indian shores, involves a substantial team of Marine Commandos dedicated to resolving the crisis.

As the operation unfolds, additional details are anticipated to provide insight into the progress and outcome of the rescue mission. The Indian Navy remains committed to safeguarding maritime security and protecting vessels and crew members from threats at sea.
