    The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has given the green light for the procurement of military hardware worth Rs 84,560 crore, aimed at enhancing the overall combat capabilities of the armed forces. The approved proposals include new-generation anti-tank mines, air defence tactical control radar, heavy-weight torpedoes, medium-range maritime reconnaissance, and multi-mission maritime aircraft, among others. These acquisitions aim to strengthen the surveillance, interdiction capabilities of the Indian Navy and Coast Guard, enhance air defence systems, and improve the operational efficiency and reach of the Indian Air Force.
