India and Moldova Ink Visa Waiver Pact for Diplomatic Passports

India and Moldova have sealed an agreement enabling visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and official passports from both nations. The pact, signed by Pavan Kapoor of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) and Moldovan Ambassador Ana Taban, is poised to strengthen bilateral ties.
“This Agreement, after coming into force, will allow holders of diplomatic and official passports of either country to travel to the other, without a visa,” the MEA stated. The move is anticipated to elevate the already warm and stable relationship between India and Moldova, established since 1992.
Earlier this year, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar extended congratulations to Mihai Popsoi, Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. Expressing eagerness to enhance bilateral cooperation, Jaishankar emphasized the significance of reinforcing ties between the two nations.
