Illegal Mining Crackdown: Samba Police Seizes 5 Vehicles

Continuing its relentless pursuit against illegal mining activities, Samba Police exhibited their vigilance by seizing five vehicles within the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba and Police Station Ghagwal. The operation, a collaborative effort among various police teams, yielded significant results in curbing the illicit transportation and mining of construction materials.

    Patrol Leads to Seizure

During routine patrolling duties, police teams led by Incharge Police Post Mansar, Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Tali, Incharge Police Post Supwal, and Incharge Police Post Rajpura stumbled upon a series of suspicious activities hinting at illegal mining practices. Acting swiftly, they seized four dumpers and one tractor trolley, all allegedly involved in the unauthorized transportation and mining of construction materials.

Collaboration with Geology & Mining Department

Following the seizure, Samba Police promptly handed over the confiscated vehicles to the Geology & Mining Department in Samba for further investigation and necessary legal action. This collaboration underscores the concerted efforts between law enforcement agencies and government departments to combat the scourge of illegal mining, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory protocols and environmental conservation measures.

Illegal mining poses a grave threat to the ecological balance and socio-economic fabric of the region, leading to environmental degradation, loss of biodiversity, and disruption of livelihoods. The proactive stance taken by Samba Police serves as a deterrent to potential offenders and reinforces the commitment to uphold the rule of law and safeguard natural resources for present and future generations.
