HSS Goha Marmat Hosts Successful Mega Career Orientation Week

Doda, March 26– Higher Secondary School (HSS) Goha Marmat conducted successful Mega Orientation Career Counseling Workshop started from March 24,2025. The initiative, spearheaded by the school’s Principal, Mr. Gopal Chalotra, was organized in accordance with directives issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu.

The comprehensive workshop witnessed enthusiastic engagement from over seventy students eager to gain clarity on their future academic and professional trajectories. The primary objective of the event was to provide students with detailed information about the vast array of courses available across various disciplines, empowering them to make well-informed decisions regarding their future careers.

A key highlight of the workshop was a detailed PowerPoint presentation delivered by Mr. Nasir Hussain, Cluster Resource Coordinator (CRC). Mr. Hussain meticulously outlined the diverse courses offered within the Medical, Non-Medical, Arts, and Commerce streams. His presentation emphasized the crucial role of aligning course selection with individual academic strengths and inherent talents.

Students also benefited immensely from a session led by Mr. Nazir Ahmed Wani, Senior Lecturer in Mathematics. Mr. Wani underscored the critical importance of choosing subjects and courses that resonate with personal interests and individual capabilities. He passionately advised students to resist external pressures from peers or parents, urging them to prioritize decisions that would foster long-term fulfillment and success.

The program culminated in an inspiring address by Principal Mr. Gopal Chalotra. He motivated the students to set ambitious goals and to cultivate a mindset of future job creation rather than solely focusing on seeking employment. Mr. Chalotra reiterated the significance of selecting courses based on genuine interest and natural aptitude, cautioning against the influence of external factors.
