Honor is gearing up for the launch of the Magic V3 in China on July 12, alongside the Honor Magic Vs3, MagicPad 2, and MagicBook Art 14. The company has disclosed the color options for the upcoming foldable smartphone, which is anticipated to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, the Honor Magic V2.
The Honor Magic V3 will be available in four color options: Silk Road Dunhuang (red), Tundra Green, Qilian Snow, and Velvet Black. This follows earlier claims that the new model will surpass the Magic V2, which was introduced as the world’s slimmest foldable smartphone in September 2023, measuring 9.9mm in thickness and weighing between 231g and 237g.
In terms of features, the Honor Magic V3 is expected to include AI-backed Defocus Eye Protection and Deepfake Detection technologies, which were showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai 2024. These advancements aim to enhance user experience and security.
The device is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and may come with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 66W wired fast charging. It is also likely to feature 5G network connectivity and satellite support in China. The foldable is anticipated to weigh between 220g and 229g.
Optics-wise, the Honor Magic V3 might sport a 50-megapixel sensor. It is also expected to include an ultra-thin USB Type-C port and a hinge with potential water resistance certification, further enhancing its durability and functionality.
