Sharma accused DGP Kundu of threats and a previous physical assault. He had filed a complaint with various authorities, including the Superintendent of Police in Kangra and SP Shimla, detailing his allegations against the top police official.

Court’s Criticism of the State Government

A division bench, consisting of Chief Justice M S Ramchandra Rao and Justice Jyotsna Rewal Dua, expressed dissatisfaction with the state government’s delay in registering an FIR. The bench stressed the urgency of action, referencing a Supreme Court judgement to reinforce the importance of promptly addressing such serious allegations.
