To enhance the efficiency of healthcare facilities, including Diagnostic Centres, Laboratories, and single doctor clinics in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the Health and Medical Education (H&ME) department has mandated that these institutions register under both the Clinical Establishments Act and the Health Facility Registry (HFR).

This initiative aims to streamline operations and promote transparency in healthcare services provided by private sector partners. By doing so, it enables the public to access accredited private healthcare facilities by integrating them into the HFR of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. Simultaneously, private healthcare facilities are required to register their workers and staff on the HFR, ensuring that only verified health professionals work in the private sector.

The Ayushman Bharat Digital Health ecosystem was introduced by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir in July 2022. As of now, 100% of Government Health Facilities have been verified and registered on the HFR portal.

Furthermore, 82% of government doctors have been successfully registered on the Health Facility Registry, and an impressive 78 lakh Ayushman Bharat Health Account (ABHA) IDs have been issued. In addition, 100% of the hospitals empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) have been verified and are now part of the ABDM Digital portal.

The implementation of the Scan & Share queue-less OPD token system has proven to be a game-changer, generating over 1.2 million tokens. This innovative system has significantly eased the burden on patients who previously had to endure long queues outside hospitals.
