Haryana Introduces Good Governance Awards Scheme 2023
The Haryana government, under Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, has introduced the Haryana Good Governance Awards Scheme 2023. This initiative aims to recognize and reward exceptional contributions to good governance, fostering innovation and creativity in government work. The scheme applies to employees in various departments, excluding administrative secretaries, heads of departments, All India Service Officers, and contractual manpower.
Objectives of the Scheme:
- Recognition of Outstanding Contributions: The scheme focuses on acknowledging and rewarding outstanding contributions to good governance initiatives at both state and district levels.
- Encouraging Innovation: By fostering an environment that encourages innovation and creativity in government work, the scheme aims to enhance overall governance practices.
- Promoting Best Governance Practices: The overarching goal is to raise the quality of public service delivery in the state by promoting and recognizing best governance practices.
Eligibility and Awards:
- The scheme applies to employees in Groups A, B, C, and D across various departments.
- Awards will be given at both the state and district levels.
- Excluded from the scheme are administrative secretaries, heads of departments, All India Service Officers, and contractual manpower.
Award Categories and Prizes:
- State-Level Flagship Scheme Awards: Recognizing exceptional contributions to flagship schemes implemented by the state government. Winning teams receive a trophy, appreciation certificate, and a cash reward of Rs. 51,000 per flagship scheme, distributed equally among team members.
- State Level Awards: Acknowledging exceptional performance in various state-level initiatives and schemes. Winning teams receive a trophy, appreciation certificate, and cash rewards of Rs. 51,000 (1st prize), Rs. 31,000 (2nd prize), and Rs. 21,000 (3rd prize), distributed equally among team members.
- District Level Awards: Recognizing exemplary contributions at the district level. Winning teams receive a trophy, appreciation certificate, and cash rewards of Rs. 31,000 (1st prize), Rs. 21,000 (2nd prize), and Rs. 11,000 (3rd prize), distributed equally among team members.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Haryana government to promoting and celebrating good governance practices within the state.
