Haryana CM Announces Free Education for Girls and Development Initiatives in Samalkha
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced significant educational support for girls in the state, declaring free education for girls from families with an annual income of Rs 1.80 lakh. This initiative extends to both government and private colleges. Additionally, for families with incomes between Rs 1.80 lakh to Rs 3 lakh, the state government will cover half of the college fees for girls. The Haryana government will also bear the fees for private colleges where applicable, underlining the state’s commitment to promoting girls’ education.
Samalkha’s Upgradation and Developmental Plans
During the Jan Ashirwad rally at Samalkha in Panipat district, CM Khattar announced the elevation of Samalkha from a municipality to a municipal council. He also unveiled a comprehensive development plan for Samalkha, which includes establishing two 100-acre sectors, converting the existing 50-bed community health center into a 100-bed hospital, and implementing various infrastructure projects like roads, underpasses, and community buildings.
Infrastructure and Community Development Projects
Among the several developmental initiatives announced, the chief minister confirmed the construction of an eight-kilometer-long eastern bypass, grants for local community organizations, and an underpass at Narayana Gate. The plans also encompass a new bypass near Samalkha bus stand, beautification of Chulkana Dham, completion of the Punjabi Sabha building, and the development of a vegetable market and bus stand in Bapauli. Additionally, significant funds have been allocated for the construction of a bridge and the repair of roads, aiming to enhance connectivity and infrastructure in the region.
Focus on Good Governance and Investment Appeal
CM Khattar reiterated the state government’s achievements since 2014, focusing on eradicating corruption, reducing crime, and eliminating caste-based politics. He highlighted Haryana’s appeal for investment, emphasizing the state’s dedication to education, health, security, self-reliance, service, and good governance.
