GDC Kilhotran commemorates World Red Cross Day 2024

Under the patronage of Principal Dr. Javid Iqbal Zargar, Govt. Degree College Kilhotran marked World Red Cross Day 2024 on May 8th. Approximately 50 students and NSS volunteers actively engaged in the event’s proceedings.

The occasion commenced with a warm welcome from Prof. Joat Singh, HOD of Environmental Science, followed by a detailed discourse from Prof. Zain Bin Hussain Batt, the Convenor of the Red Cross Committee and HOD of Political Science. Prof. Batt shed light on the Red Cross Society’s pivotal role in global disaster response and fostering humanitarian values among the youth.

Students and NSS volunteers shared their perspectives, enriching the dialogue on humanitarianism. Dr. Tasir Sharief Per, HOD Botany, extended a formal vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all participants, thus concluding the event on a note of appreciation and solidarity.
