Farmers Protest Live Updates: Resuming March After Night Halt, Prohibitory Orders in Delhi
Farmers’ Protest Resumes as Security Tightens in Delhi
Farmers, rallying for a list of demands, are set to resume their march towards Delhi after a night halt.
Authorities have heightened security measures, shutting Singhu and Tikri borders and temporarily closing the Red Fort complex. Led by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, the ‘Delhi Chalo’ agitation seeks to pressure the Centre on demands such as a law on minimum support price for crops and loan waivers.
To maintain law and order, Delhi police have imposed Section 144, restricting the entry of tractor trolleys and large assemblies.
