
Encounter Breaks Out in Chhatru, Kishtwar; Exchange of Fire Reported Between Security Forces and Terrorists
Doda, November 5: In a joint intelligence-based operation, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police have established contact with terrorists in the general area of Chhatru, kishtwar district. According to an official update from the White Knight Corps, the exchange of fire took place in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The operation, codenamed Op Chhatru, is currently in progress as security forces continue to engage the terrorists. The White Knight Corps, which is part of the Indian Army’s 16 Corps, confirmed the development through an official post on X (formerly Twitter).
“In an intelligence-based operation, in concert with Jammu and Kashmir Police, alert troops of White Knight Corps have established contact with terrorists in the general area of Chhatru. Fire exchanged with terrorists. Operation is in progress,” the statement read.
