Earthquake Hits Lunglei, Manipur: Magnitude 3.5 on Richter Scale
On Friday, an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale shook Manipur’s Lunglei, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The seismic event occurred at 7:18 am local time, at a depth of 10 kilometers, as per the NCS.
The NCS shared details of the earthquake in a post: “Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 05-01-2024, 07:18:58 IST, Lat: 22.86 & Long: 92.63, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Lunglei, Mizoram, India”.
This event follows a recent earthquake of 3.0 magnitude on the Richter Scale that struck Ukhrul in Manipur on Wednesday, with a depth of 26 kilometers.
