In a significant operation, law enforcement authorities in Jammu and Kashmir’s Reasi district apprehended three drug peddlers over the weekend, seizing a substantial quantity of heroin and a considerable sum of over Rs 1 lakh in cash. Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Mohita Sharma revealed that the arrest and subsequent recovery unfolded following the interception of a car at Domail during routine checks.

During the thorough examination of the intercepted vehicle, authorities uncovered a stash of 10 grams of heroin, raising suspicions of illicit activities. Additionally, a significant amount of Rs 1,33,900 in cash was also discovered, leading to the immediate arrest of the vehicle’s occupants. The individuals identified as Anit Kumar, Raghubir Singh, and Bobby Thakur, all residents of Katra, were taken into custody as part of the operation.
