Doda Police Arrests Absconder Evading Arrest since 6 Years

Feb-11, 2025: Continuing its special drive against absconders and wanted criminals Jammu and Kashmir Police in District Doda has arrested absconder who was evading arrest since last 06 years.

Official sources said that accused Mehraj Din S/O Ramzan Butt R/o Gurekhra Tehsil Gandoh was involved in FIR NO. 71/2014 US 452,380,323 RPC of PS Bhaderwah. After completion of investigation of the case, challan was produced in the court of law.

The accused person was declared as absconder and warrant of arrest was issued against him by the Hon’ble court of Spl Mobie Magistrate Bhaderwah on 02-05-2019 .

On the directions of SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta-JKPS, special teams at Police Station level have been constituted for the search and arrest of the absconders.

The Police team of PS Bhaderwah led by Inspector Sandeep Parihar SHO PS Bhaderwah during search utilized human and technical services and ultimately after hectic efforts arrested the absconder from Sidrah area of Jammu and produced him before the court of law.

Mentionable here that on the directions of SSP Doda, special drive has been launched by Doda Police and special teams have been constituted at PS level for the arrest of absconders/wanted criminals and during last 03 months 13 absconders have been arrested and produced in the court of law.
