Div-Com Urges Calm Amidst Petrol Panic, Assures Ample Supply in Kashmir
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, issued a plea on Tuesday, urging the public to refrain from causing unnecessary panic by flocking to petrol pumps with vehicles and containers. Bidhuri reassured the residents that there is an ample supply of petrol, kerosene, and LPG in the Valley, sufficient for nearly a month.
Emphasizing that the surge of people at petrol pumps could create unnecessary panic, Divisional Commissioner Bidhuri underscored that there is no shortage of petrol, kerosene, and LPG. He stated, “We have an adequate stock of essential commodities in Kashmir, including petrol and LPG, ensuring a month-long supply.”
Bidhuri urged the public not to succumb to panic and instead remain calm. He clarified that the ongoing transporter’s strike would not adversely affect Kashmir, and discussions are ongoing with the transporters to address the situation. The Divisional Commissioner reiterated the commitment of Kashmir’s divisional administration to guarantee that the residents do not encounter shortages of essentials, including petrol and LPG, during the winter season.
