Div Com Kashmir Reviews Arrangements for Legends Cricket League in Srinagar

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, held a meeting today to review preparations for the upcoming Legends Cricket League, scheduled to take place next month at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar. The event, touted as a signature occasion, is expected to draw thousands of spectators, and Bidhuri emphasized the need for flawless arrangements.
Bidhuri directed various departments to ensure comprehensive preparation. The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) was tasked with enhancing sanitation efforts and conducting deep cleaning at the stadium. Large waste bins will be installed, and dewatering pumps kept on standby in case of rainfall.
To avoid any interruptions during the event, the Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Power Development Department (PDD) were instructed to ensure an uninterrupted supply of drinking water and electricity to the venue.
The health department was also given specific instructions to deploy expert medical teams and ambulances at the stadium to provide immediate assistance if needed. The Fire & Emergency (F&E) Department was directed to position fire tenders nearby to handle any fire-related incidents.
Additionally, the Food Safety Department will monitor food quality to ensure hygienic meals are provided to the players and staff.
Several key officials, including the Additional Commissioner of Kashmir, ADC Srinagar, and representatives from the SMC, PDD, PHE, UEED, Information, Hospitality & Protocol, Health, Fire & Emergency, and Police, were present at the meeting. CEO of the Legends Cricket League, Raman Raheja, and Secretary of the J&K Sports Council also attended.
