Delhi Police arrested Three Foreigners in Drug Raid, Confiscate Cocaine and Ecstasy
In New Delhi, three foreign nationals have been apprehended by the Delhi Police for their involvement in drug trafficking. The arrests of David Narh and Emmanual Owusu Nsiah from Ghana, and Chimobi David Okpara from Nigeria, were made after the confiscation of cocaine and ecstasy pills, according to authorities on Sunday. The seized items included 64 grams of high-quality cocaine and 20 ecstasy pills.
The operation was initiated based on information received by the Trans Yamuna Range of the Special Cell, responsible for monitoring the activities of “party drug suppliers,” as mentioned by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Amit Kaushik. The police intercepted Narh and Nsiah, who were riding a scooter near SFS Flats Road in Mayur Vihar Phase-3.
Upon conducting a search, law enforcement discovered 56.69 grams of cocaine and 20 ecstasy pills. Following the registration of a case, the accused were taken into police custody. Subsequent interrogations revealed that Okpara was the alleged source of the seized drugs, leading to his subsequent arrest.
Okpara was presented before a court, and a search warrant was obtained to inspect his residence in a housing society in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. During the search, an additional 7.12 grams of cocaine were seized. Authorities are actively working to identify the forward and backward linkages of the arrested individuals, said Mr. Kaushik.
