
DC Samba Reviews MY Bharat Initiatives; Assures Full Administrative Support
SAMBA,May 7,(VoM News) : A meeting was held today in the office chamber of Ms. Ayushi Sudan, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Samba, with Vivek Kumar, District Youth Officer (DYO), Jammu, MY Bharat, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and Sushil Singh Charak, Resource Person, MY Bharat J&K, to discuss measures for strengthening the implementation and outreach of MY Bharat initiatives in Samba district.
During the meeting, Vivek Kumar submitted a formal request seeking the allotment of a rent-free building for the establishment of a dedicated MY Bharat Samba office to ensure the smooth functioning and effective execution of youth-oriented programmes and activities across the district.
The District Youth Officer also apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the various opportunities available to youth under PMIS through the MY Bharat Portal, including youth engagement, volunteerism, leadership development, skill enhancement, and community participation initiatives. He emphasized the need for enhanced awareness and administrative support to facilitate maximum enrolment of youth from Samba district on the PMIS platform.
Sushil Singh Charak, Resource Person, MY Bharat J&K, highlighted the importance of awareness programmes being conducted under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyaan and stressed the active role of youth in nation-building and social reform initiatives. He appreciated the support being extended by the district administration towards youth empowerment and constructive community participation.
Deputy Commissioner Samba appreciated the initiatives being undertaken by MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, and assured full cooperation from the district administration in strengthening youth engagement programmes and expanding the outreach of the initiative throughout the district.
